MODULE 1

INTRODUCTION

In recent times, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a valuable asset in the realm of English language education. Educators and students are actively investigating novel approaches to utilize AI effectively, aiming to improve language learning outcomes and address existing obstacles. In Module 1, students were introduced to this new world, and for this purpose, a brief introduction to AI was given. They also learned about its history, basic language, and resources, such as LLM, Deep Learning, prompt engineering, and hallucinations. Additionally, they explored design thinking. 😎

At the beginning of the module, there was fear 😖 because it’s a new world where no matter how much one tries to keep up, new things to study emerge every day. Feelings arose that it would be difficult to comprehend and practice, at the same time, there was curiosity and eagerness to learn about AI to enhance and deliver higher-quality classes as an educator for future students.

Finally, AI is revolutionizing ELT by personalizing learning experiences, automating assessments, and empowering teachers and students. As technology continues to evolve, educators must embrace AI thoughtfully, harnessing its capabilities to create a more effective and inclusive language learning environment.😊
